This fabulous little bolt-hole is a converted 19C railway station parcel shed and sits on Platform 1, in the picture postcard village of Gilling East. Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, on the edge of The North Yorkshire Moors National Park. You will be approximately 5 miles from Helmsley, a delightful market town, with numerous cafes and charming public houses.You are also approximately 8 miles from the beautiful Castle Howard. The Parcel Shed is located less than 300 metres from the lovely countryside pub - the Fairfax Arms. There are plenty of walks from the property, allowing you to view Ampleforth College and its environs across the valley. There are also a number of other walks of varying length.
Please note that this is a self contained unit and we will respect your privacy. Other than our saying hello and goodbye, if we are around, we will endeavour to stay out of your way. Whilst we don’t offer a daily turn down service if there is anything you require please feel free to ask and we will do our best to accommodate.
