The Potting Shed is set in the original eighteenth century walled garden forming part of Cross House estate, the large house on the opposite side of the road. The garden had lay derelict and in disrepair since the war, until in 1995 someone managed to gain planning consent to build our house within the wall. We are the second owners, and have been here since 2014. In January 2016 we got planning permission to convert this potting shed into the accommodation you are now looking at. We have tried to keep original features where ever possible, and to modernise in such a way as to keep in keeping with the surroundings. The view from the Patio over the Devon countryside is facing East, catches the sun in the morning, while the other side of the property catches the sun in the evening. THe property comprises a kitchenette/ living room with woodburner, tv, sofabed for an extra child, Combi oven, fridge. Ajoining this is a double bedroom with ensuite shower. the property has been converted to a very high standard and has underfloor heating, wifi, and patio doors leading to your own private patio area, with loungers, free BBQ, and stunning views over the countryside.

We bought this property as a retreat from my husbands busy farming business. We converted the Potting shed to high class accommodation, to enable us to share this unique property with others, and at the same time bring in an additional income. We are friendly, hospitable, and will do what ever we can to make your stay a special memory.

The Potting Shed is set in unspoilt countryside with views over the Devon fields. We live nearby if you should need anything, other wise we will leave you to enjoy this special tranquil retreat. The only other neighbours you will have will be squirrels, birds and sheep in the fields around you. RHS Garden Rosemoor is a 5 minute drive.
