Both the Ruin and the Studio have their own private entrance and our breakfasts are always delivered to your room which has a dining area . Guests are also able to use our large private garden.

Falkland is about 40-50 minutes from Edinburgh by car. Alternatively there's a local station about 10 minutes away that has a regular service (45 min) to the city centre. The bonus here is that parking is free at the station, rather than crippling in Edinburgh! History wise we're next door to Falkland Palace , the Bannock Burn visitor centre is about 40 min away and the Wallace Monument is there too. Scoune Palace is about 30 min away this is where the Scottish kings were crowned. Loch Leven about 20 min away - after a childhood at Falkland palace Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned on an island there, she didn't have the luxury of the scenic boat trip. St Andrews is about 30 min away - golf, university, beach. If you look at National Trust website it'll list other National Trust properties you can visit. There are also several villages (Falkland, Dysart and Culross) on your doorstep that have featured in the series Outlander. Essentially we're very central.
