This former abattoir and butchers is the oldest timber-framed building in Lutterworth, dating back to the 16th Century. It was first used as a public house from 1791 until 1840, when it was converted back to a home and butchers shop. In 1982, it was converted back into a public house and named The Shambles. It is a 2 minute walk away to the nearest bus stops which offer bus services to Rugby and Leicester. The En-suite double rooms have a modern and comfortable look that offer Free WIFI, Flat screen TV's and En-suite bathrooms along with tea/coffee making facilities. Amenities include a wood beamed bar with TV's, bar area with skittles table, lounge and dining area. There's also a garden with picnic tables.
