The Snug is a charming annex that forms part of Ascerton House in a lovely residential area of Sidmouth. Accommodation: Approximately four steps lead down from the parking area round to the annex- please note there is no hand rail. An attractive, comfortably furnished open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining table for two guests. Please note, there is an electric hob & microwave oven however there is no standard oven. Light airy bedroom with very comfortable King Size bed, top quality bedding and plenty of storage, plus TV's in both Bedroom and Kitchen/Diner. Fully tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and a heated towel rail. Garden furniture and cushions are supplied in an outside storage container for use at the front of the annex. Private off-road parking for one car on the driveway. A short walk with a slight hill down to the picturesque town and seafront or stroll up the Byes for a riverside walk. Drive to the River Cottage HQ for a meal or cookery course, go by water taxi to the River Exe award winning café or simply rest, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of The Snug. You will be spoilt for choice!

Nestled between Peak Hill and Salcombe Hill, in the middle of East Devon’s AONB, lies the regency seaside town of Sidmouth; the perfect year-round holiday destination for all members of the family. Devon’s history is fascinating to explore, dating back to the Stone Age. In more recent history, Sidmouth and the nearby seaside towns were known for their popularity during the 18th and 19th centuries, they grew from fishing villages with many Georgian & Regency buildings still remain. The Sidmouth Museum is well worth a visit, along with the blue plaque trail exploring historic architecture. Their friendly feel, beautiful beaches and local independent shops & cafes is what continues their popularity through to the modern day. Although Devon sounds like a faraway fairy-tale, it is easily reached whether you wish to travel by train, car or plane. Most major train routes pass through Exeter and Honiton, with busses and taxis to connect you to Sidmouth. Leaving the M5 at Exeter, it is a short drive to the beautiful East Devon coast and country.
