The Snug, as its name suggests, is a cosy ground floor apartment offering self catering accommodation. The property has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and with its own independent access is an ideal stay for walkers. The Snug boasts many features that include a Kitchenette with combined Microwave/Oven, comfortable twin beds (that can be made into a Super Kingsize bed upon request) and an ensuite bathroom with electric shower. It is ideal for guests needing 1-2 night stay, located a stone's throw from The Dales Way and other circular routes from the doorstep. If you prefer to eat out, The Buck Inn (15 metres opposite) provides good wholesome food for lunch and dinner. A Full English Breakfast is also available, but needs to be booked in advance. Pets are welcome with a pack containing dog bowls, a dog blanket and treats. Towels are also available in the event of a soggy walk! There is parking available on site for 3 cars and additional parking nearby, opposite The Buck Inn, also we have recently installed an EV charger (7 kw/hour) for guests to use. For parties of more than two people, The Snug has the option to connect to The Wharfe and The Dale, also part of Greystones, through a private internal inner hallway, that is otherwise locked. Maximum six people, two per unit.

At the geographical centre of the Yorkshire Dales, Upper Wharfedale is truly stunning. In the heart of All Creatures Great and Small country and on the doorstep of the popular Dales Way and Lady Anne’s Way, it is the perfect location for seasoned walkers and cyclists or those exploring for the first time. Combine hearty exercise with good food served in the local pubs. The George at Hubberholm is a short walk along the banks of the River Wharfe serving the best Sunday roast or The Fox and Hounds in Starbotton and closest of all, The Buck Inn directly opposite. There is a regular local bus service to Skipton. In the opposite direction, Hawes is 35 minutes drive; the journey is truly stunning and well worth it. Visit the Wensleydale Creamery for lunch, alternatively make your way to The Green Dragon, Hardraw. The popular market town of Leyburn is 35 minutes drive and why not indulge a visit to Aysgarth Falls on the way.
