Stan Laurel was born there, and it holds the world record for the biggest foam pie battle, revealing a joyful, community-minded town. The town and surrounding area offer stunning views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. The deepest, widest, and shortest canal in the world, with a tavern at the end and views over the bay. All National Park attractions are accessible. Furness Coast has sandy beaches and birding.
