Treyarnon Bay is a lovely sandy beach backed by sand dunes, ideally located between Padstow and Mawgan Porth, enjoy swimming, surfing or walking the South West Coast Path. It's also a popular beach for families for it's expanse of sand at low tide, rock pools and tidal pool for safe swimming! Another favourite beach in the area is Trevone Bay Beach and Harlyn Beach, where you can book in for an unforgettable surf lesson. A little closer is the Cornish Arms at St. Merryn, which is definitely worth a visit.
The picturesque fishing village of Padstow and its stunning harbour has so much for you to explore and discover. For a day exploring the local area pick up a bike from Padstow Cycle Hire and follow The Camel Trail. This largely traffic-free trail follows an old railway line with 12 miles of spectacular views of moorland, woodland and estuary and with it being largely flat it's ideal for families and less experienced cyclists.
Want to see marine conservation in action? The National Lobster Hatchery based in Padstow is an education and research charity set up to help conserve the vulnerable lobster populations and preserve the coastal marine bio-diversity in Cornwall. Spend a morning learning about these amazing creatures and the importance of sustainable fishing.
