Ty Capel will be welcoming guests as a Bed & Breakfast from April 2020 when all the renovations will be completed. The Clywedog Room has had a large new balcony installed with a seating area and has breath taking views over the Clywedog Reservoir as well as a beautiful copper bath which shares the same amazing views. The property is situated on the Glyndwr's Way national trail, so there are plenty of great walks right on the doorstep. and the area is also popular with cyclists and runners. Ty Capel also has fantastic gardens which attract many different types of wildlife and are available for all guests to enjoy. Ty Capel is a place to get away from it all, surround yourself with nature, take amazing walks, cycle, fish or to simply just sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful Mid Wales countryside. There is an honesty bar is available for all guests to use. (additional charges apply)
Ty Capel is a 10 minute drive to Llanidloes town, where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and a small supermarket. Ty Capel is situated on the Glyndwrs Way national path making it the perfect place to stop if you are attempting the entire path. Trout fishing is available just a few minutes drive up the road and a short walk will take you to the local sailing club. As well as hiking the area is very popular for cycling too. Another short walk away is the remains of the old Bryntail lead mine situated in the shadow of the Clywedog reservoir dam and a 30 minute drive will take you to Snowdonia or 30 miles away is the coastal town Aberystwyth.
