I am retired and spend summers with my french partner in France, hence our home is available when we are away. All personal items have been removed but everything left that you could possibly need during your stay.
This is self check in, self catering. Although sadly, I am not available to meet you in person, I am only a phone call away. The immediate neighbours are caretakers in the event of any problems.
We leave teas/ coffee etc, and all manner of spices and kitchen basics. We no longer leave fresh milk as tastes are so diverse but there will be some long life sachets in the tea/coffee cupboard. The One Stop supermarket virtually across the road should stock a fairly good choice of fresh food items to get you started.

Good sized house but only offering one ist floor bedroom to discerning ADULTS - 2 Max. Sofa bed available in living area if two people wish to sleep separately Not suitable for children of any age or any pets.
WE ARE 15 - 20 minutes walk to the MARKET/SHOPPING AREA - boasting cinema, theatre, many restaurants, museums, daily markets and river trips . Leisure centre 10 mins. The property is on a busy daytime residential road but the bedroom at the back is always quiet. We offer 2 full bathrooms, Dining, Living, Kitchen, wifi and 2 parking spaces. There is good sized back garden.
PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE TWO STEEP STEPS DOWN TO THE ENSUITE which may not suit the physically impaired.
Beautifully created space with lots of artistic, indeed quirky touches. This is not your average holiday let, this is our winter home. It needs guests who will love and take care of it. We have carefully chosen vintage pieces to use as everyday furniture but have interjected a copper industrial theme. There is a unique oven area next to dining table along with Smeg fridge convenient for serving straight to table. The Kitchen offers a two ring electric hob, air fryer, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. Also a freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Walk in shower downstairs in the main bathroom has a window onto the garden. There is the very handy ensuite toilet/shower room upstairs . A good sized garden at the back enables you to move around to catch the sun if you wish. We hope you enjoy the faux beer garden and comfy seating area . Walk in wonder towards the "Secret Garden" at back fence or share the pleasure of our Beatrice Potter garden trug with Peter Rabbit. The holly bush is a real life aviary bursting with bird song. Enjoy!

We are excellently placed for Newark centre, and its environs plus of course to main motorways.
BUT......PLEASE BE AWARE WE ARE 20 MINUTES WALK FROM THE MAIN MARKET/SHOPPING AREA. There are plenty of local taxi firms if required . PLEASE BE HAPPY WITH OUR LOCATION BEFORE YOU BOOK !! . We do provide free parking spaces on site for those coming by car! Car parking in town will be chargeable.
We are most fortunate that there is a Local supermarket, post office and chippy just across the road, 2 minutes walk. Ten minutes walk to Leisure Centre including swimming pool.
Ten minutes walk to Balderton lake boasting swans and geese and all sorts of wildlife. Return trip round lake roughly one hour.
We are also 20 minutes Walk to Sconce Park for a good walk round 45 mins and along the River Devon, view of Newark from the peak.
15-20 minutes to town centre for a good varied choice of bars and restaurants, daily market, high street and river trips.
25 minutes walk to train station for express to Kings Cross London.
Ten minutes drive to A1 South and A1 north. 5 minutes to A46 for Lincoln/Nottingham and M1.
