Extremely clean, location is ideal for us as we do not drive. Friendly and knowledgable host, he even gave us a lift to the train station without any charge. We would surely like to stay there again. Last but not least, excellent breakfast.

Neighbourhood information

Virginia Lodge is 5 minutes walk to Stratford town centre, the 'Royal Shakespeare Theatres', many good restaurants/cafes & pubs. Stratford Horse racing track is 15 min's walk. Boat rides on the Avon are popular & there are lovely river & country walks nearby. Shakespeare's 4 Tudor houses are interesting to visit & there are many more historic buildings. Stratford is a traditional beautiful English market town by a river, Spring & Summer there is usually a festival or event on most weekends. The lovely 'Cotswold Hills' start 5 miles south of Stratford & the 'Cotswold way' path runs for 80 miles to 'Bath' Famous for Shakespeare, we have 2 RSC theatres, The Bear pit Theatre & another theatre at 'Cox's Yard' 12 miles away is the 'Heritage Motor Museum' at Gaydon, which has most British car ever built + Grand Prix/ rally & land speed record cars. Many 'National Trust' historic building near Stratford & famous 'Warwick Castle is 10 minutes away.
