On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, The Bedford Hotel is located in the town of Tavistock. It offers Wi-Fi, fine dining, and modern rooms with flat-screen TVs. Rooms at the Hotel Bedford all have en suite bathrooms with showers, hairdryers, and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms allow pets upon request. A traditional breakfast is included in the room rate. Woburn's restaurant serves excellent food, and has an AA Red Rosette. The traditional Dukes Bar offers local ales, a bar menu and a walled garden for afternoon tea. Tavistock Farmers Market and the riverside are just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Many National Trust houses are nearby and the beach at Plymouth is a 20-minute drive. There are several golf courses close to the Bedford Hotel and the world famous Eden Project is just 30 miles away. Parking is available at the hotel (charges apply).
