Welcome to Watchmaker Cottage. This historic Listed property is particularly suited to families with a main bedroom with ensuite, a twin room, a smaller child's bedroom and family bathroom so can easily accommodate a family of 5. The property has electric heating and a wood-burner for the colder evenings and ample hot water for that soak in the bath and separate shower for those who prefer. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker etc so if you want to cater yourselves you should have most of the tools you need and shops close by to provide the provisions. Watchmaker Cottage is opposite the Co-op and there are several other local shops including a butchers and many different places to eat in or takeaway; all within 5 minutes walk. There is a small kitchen if you want to cook in or lots of places to eat out locally and a couple of take-aways too. Although there is no allocated parking, there are several spaces outside the property and parking is free throughout the village though there are restrictions outside the Co-op opposite but you should be able to find a space. If you are having trouble give me a call and I can move my car for you.

Located right in the centre of the village of Bellingham, Watchmaker Cottage can be a great base to explore Northumbria and all it has to offer whether that's following in the footsteps of the Romans at Hadrians Wall, or enjoying the outdoors and all the facilities Kielder and the South Tyne & Redesdale valleys have to offer, or a trip to the coast with the wide beaches and outstanding castles. There are also lots of local events happening all year but check social media in particular for events at: - Kielder Observatory where you can watch the stars and learn all about the universe in which we live - First & Last Brewery; as well as the brewing stuff, they have some interesting events on with food trucks, bands and wildlife mini-safaris ("Beer & Bats" is particularly good) - Bellingham Show at the end of August is always a great spectacle
