Woodland Lodge Luxury Suite is a situated within a privately owned home. You are our only guests. There is private parking for our guests with their own entrance and a large private terrace to enjoy the spectacular views. The luxury suite consists of a Ensuite bedroom with Super King size bed which includes a double ended bath and separate walk in shower, toiletries are complementary. There is a separate living room with dining table, chairs, fridge and coffee maker. French doors in both rooms lead out to the private terrace with sea /loch views. Both rooms have smart TV’s with complementary Netflix. The living room has a large sofa, giving you somewhere comfortable to relax after a day out exploring the Island. We also provide dishes and cutlery in case you decide to stay in. **PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO COOKING OR KITCHEN FACILITIES IN THE SUITE AND WE DO NOT PROVIDE BREAKFAST. YOU CAN GET BREAKFAST AT THE OLD INN, OUR LOCAL PUB BETWEEN 7-30AM -9.30AM ALTERNATIVELY BRING YOUR OWN CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, WE HAVE A FULL SIZE FRIDGE,DINING TABLE, NESPRESO COFFEE MACHINE, KETTLE AND CROCKERY.** There are many Restaurants and takeaway facilities in Skye. Please pre book any fine dining restaurants prior to your holiday. Our luxury suite is very contemporary in its decor and a great place to relax and chill out. Woodland Lodge Suite is Loch /Sea facing and is very quiet and peaceful. A great place to watch the wildlife of Sea Eagles & Deer or watch the boats go past. CHECK IN/OUT Check in is from 4pm - 7pm if you require a later check in please contact me in advance. Check out on departure day is 10am, any late check outs will incur an additional charge. The minimum stay is three nights. This is a non serviced suite, however all dishes etc will be replaced each day if required.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home, Woodland Lodge sits on a very large site (12 acres) so the majority of my time is spent working in the garden, luckily I love my garden overlooking Loch Harport with breathtaking views.This year we have introduced a woodland walk with seating and sea views, so you can be at one with nature in a peaceful and tranquil wood without leaving the property, a great place for a picnic or just to chill out or read a book. Ian my husband is a Distiller of 30 + years at Talisker Distillery, so if you are looking for some advice on what whisky to buy, we can help. We are off the road and there is no noise or passing traffic making your stay totally private and peaceful. The Isle of Skye is a large island, check out our location as we are rural as of course is the rest of Skye, however well placed for all the sights, and a great place to come home to after a busy day. We are 30 minutes by car away from the Capital of Skye ,the town of Portree where you will find shops, supermarkets & petrol stations. There are also many restaurants to choose from in Portree. We are well placed for the Skye Bridge, your entry to the the Isle of Skye which is approximately 40 minutes drive to Portnalong. There are Supermarkets in Kyle of Lochalsh prior to crossing the bridge and also in Broadford five minutes after the bridge. Alternatively you can take a Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Mallaig to Armadale “Over the sea to Skye”. However you must pre book this ferry and be aware it can be weather dependant. There is also a ferry from Glenelg, it is a small turntable ferry which is drive on, and no booking is required it has a short journey time of approximately ten minutes. We have been welcoming people from all over the world since opening and have been consistently rated very highly for our property from our guests.

Woodland Lodge Suite is located close to the CUILLIN MOUNTAIN RANGE , FAIRY POOLS , GLENBRITTLE & TALISKER BEACH , TALISKER DISTILLERY. We are 30 minutes from PORTREE. EATING OUT LOCALLY You can have breakfast/lunch/dinner at THE OLD INN, CARBOST a five minute drive away. No booking is required. Highly rated by our guests. THE OYSTER SHED has seafood for takeaway or sit out and enjoy the views of the CUILLINS also in the village of Carbost. Coffee and cake can be enjoyed at the CAORA DHUBH COFFEE SHOP takeaway opposite TALISKER DISTILLERY before you go for a tour or shop in the new visitors centre. (PLEASE BOOK YOUR DISTILLERY TOUR WELL IN ADVANCE) . We also have a COMMUNITY SHOP selling groceries. THE THREE CHIMNEYS AT TALISKER serve light lunches and full lunches (reservations required). There is a craft fare in the village hall, a two minute walk from the property, every Wednesday serving soup, sandwiches and cake for a light lunch. WE HAVE LOTS TO OFFER IN THIS PART OF SKYE There are extensive Restaurants on Skye from fine dining to street food. Let us know your favourite type of food and we can help with recommendations before you arrive. BOOKING DINNER is an absolute must, for most fine dining venues. Portnalong celebrated its Centenary in 2023. Culminating with a memorial Cairn unveiling on the 8th June 2024. Ex servicemen from the Isle of Harris and Isle of Lewis were resettled here after World War 1. Sixty eight families came in total and many of their descendants live here today, we are the third and fourth generation of our family to live here. There are some lovely walks from the property from a short stroll down to the Harbour in Portnalong, or a 15 minute walk to the beach at Fiscavaig. We are not far from the Fairy Pools, 25 minutes by car, traffic dependent.
