Boasting direct views to the Aegean Sea, volcano and the world-famous caldera, the historic 1864 The Sea Captain's House has stylish rooms with king-size beds. Located in the scenic Oia village, it is 220 steps from Ammoudi Beach. Fitted with four-poster beds, all suites combine Santorini’s minimal aesthetics with Renaissance influences. Each opens to a furnished terrace with sea and caldera views. Bulgari toiletries are provided for free. Guests can enjoy an American breakfast, which is served until late into the day, at the Captain’s House courtyard or the common terrace. Restaurants and café can be found within 20 metres. Exclusive massage and body treatments can be arranged at each of the suites’ private terraces. Beach towels and free WiFi access are available. The property lies 12 k from the lively Fira Town. Santorini Airport is at a distance of 18 km and Athinios Port is 20 km away.

1864-The Sea Captain’s House is one of the few places to stay in Santorini where you truly get the feeling you are in a real house. The two-storey mansion is partly caved into the cliff, while its facade is a combination of renaissance inspired upper level, made out of dark volcanic stone and a more traditional, island style lower level, washed in a creamy colour. The interiors are a blend of characteristic elements of Cycladic cave houses and of 19th century mansions. The wide plank floors are quite rare for Santorini, you only find these in the mansions build by rich sea captains, and the cross-vaulted ceilings, are among the highest in Oia. There are three suites and one cave house.
