This is an traditional authentic cave house,. It has thick walls and it is cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. It has a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view, since it is on a cliff, on top of the caldera. House has modern bath, functional kitchen, and big terrace with volcano views (water views). The house is easily identifiable by its huge cactus tree, on the terrace, and can be seen easily. Majestic view, romantic and very quiet. Within a radius of 100 meters, there are cafes, restaurants, shops etc. To access the Cactus cave house, either from the airport or the port or elsewhere on the island, by car or taxi, you drive to Firostefani, to DaVinci restaurant. There is free parking space across the street, first come first served. There is another free parking space below this one. Walk across on the pebbled street passing in front of the main entrance of Davinci restaurant. In 20 meters, you arrive at the Onar restaurant. Turn right and after 2-3 meters, turn left and follow the pebbled narrow street. You will see the huge cactus in front of you, around 50 meters. Walk there, open the blue painted door to your left and walk down.There you are!

We are Viatseslav and Nikolaos.. We are the owners of the cave house.. We both speak 5 languages: Greek, English, French. The person who takes care of our cave house is James Richards, a Briton living on the island. He speaks English and some Greek.

Firostefani is a neighborhood of the town of Fira and it is located on a steep cliff at the center of the arc of the caldera. It is exclusive, relaxing and calm (no music, no clubs, no cars, no motorbikes). If you walk along the cliff on the narrow pebbled street, you arrive in 10 minutes to Fira, the capital town of the island where all the bars, restaurants, shops, museums etc are located. Mind you, there are also in a smaller scale, nice restaurants, shops, bars etc within 2 to 5 minutes walk from the house, in the neighborhood of Firostefani.
