This historic house, constructed in 1568 and originally owned by skilled rope makers, stands as a testament to the abundant heritage of this area. Situated in the heart of the Old Town, close to the port and historic market, the area is named 'Schoinoplokadika' in honor of the craftsmen who once inhabited it, adeptly weaving ropes from the fibers of the local cactus, known as 'Athanatos.' In 2001, this house became an integral part of our family heritage and underwent a meticulous reconstruction in 2022. For us, Casa Athanasia represents a living legacy, cherished across generations with deep love and respect, preserving its historical significance.
