Located in Aghios Nicolaos, Crete, Fissi Villas is one of the few holiday accommodations in the region, operating under a special agritourism licence which shows our investment in a green and sustainable living. Proud to have been awarded with the Green Key eco-label, Fissi Villas complies with a set of high-standard environmental requirements. Immersed in the natural Cretan surroundings, our Villas combine the stunning uninterrupted sea views to the Mirabello Bay and the unspoiled mountain landscapes with a twist, only 4.5 km away from the city centre of the picturesque Aghios Nicolaos. Within striking distance (5-10’) from Fissi Villas and with easy access for the public, few of the most famous beaches of the area can be explored. Standing on a spacious property of 4000m2, our two independent Villas will become the ideal home away from home for the adventurous families. Being equipped with a playground and many outdoor play sets, we intend to keep your young family members safely entertained, while offering everyone a stress-free holiday. We do care for the safety of your belongings too and we provide you with free and secure parking space throughout your stay.
The agritourism family bussines of Fissi Villas promises to offer full insight to our hiking/trekking enthusiasts and to those guests keen in exploring the Cretan mountain routes, or the birdwatchers and the lovers of the endemic species of flora and fauna and of course to our sea lovers. We suggest experienced mountain guides , teams organized for hiking, climping and exploring the surrounding areas. We can provide you with a special map of our area with all the routes, and we can also inform you about anything else you need. The field lying in front of Fissi Villas is covered by organic olive groves and by colourful fruit, vegetable and herb organic gardens. For several years now we cultivate our olive groves with alternative, organic farming methods and we successfully produce excellent and high-quality organic extra-virgin olive oil which has been awarded by the University of Athens for its high antioxidant content (polyphenols) and its overall health protective properties. In our unique Mediterranean flower garden, several hundreds of various seasonal flower species are growing, leaving our guests with an intense feeling of pleasure and euphoria.
The family agrotourism FISSI VILLAS are located in the district VATHI 5 km from Ag. Nikolaos and 4 km from the settlement of Istron bay which is renowned for its splendid turquoise sandy beaches. FISSI VILLAS are built in a preferential location near to the central road network (bus stop 100m) offering to its visitors the unique advantage, of viewing mountain and sea simultaneously. All beaches, cities and villages of the region are easily accessible within an hour or less (Ammoudara beach 2,2km, Almyros 4 km, Voulisma 6 km, traditional villages Kritsa, Krousta, Lasithi Plateau, cosmopolitan Elounda and Spinalonga island.) Locality Agios Nikolaos, with 9.500 inhabitants, is the capital of the Lasithi province of Crete. It is built around a picturesque lake at the north-western side of the Merabello bay, the biggest bay in Crete. The beauty here is endless with the seasons succeeding one another. The climate is unique: Dry, without humidity. The area is inhabited since antiquity. Major administrative, cultural and communications center, Agios Nikolaos is one of the most developed tourist areas, not only in Crete but in Greece in general.
