About this property

The former residence of a local merchant, Gatto Perso is housed in a 1926 Neoclassical building in the historic centre of Thessaloniki. It is right next to the Roman Agora and just a 5-minute walk from Aristotelous Square. Maintaining an art deco style, studios and apartments at Gatto Perso feature a fully equipped kitchen, original art work and marble bathrooms. Facilities also include a satellite TV, air conditioning and slippers. Upon request, guests are provided with a tablet and laptop. Transfer to and from the port, the airport or the train station can be provided upon request. The property can also arrange food delivery for your pet, as well as car rentals and nearby trips. Free WiFi is available.

Its interior offers a hospitable and warm environment which is distinguished by its high quality and tranquillity. Our rooms were created to ensure a pleasant and luxurious stay. Our 17 apartments will make you feel at home. A small garden, marble baths, fully equipped kitchens, balconies and true works of art will make your stay memorable. The restoration of the building was distinguished by attention paid to detail and the respect to its history, so you will observe and marvel at the original cast decorations, hand-made tiles and heavy Art Deco doors. While its location is very central, Gatto Perso is on a narrow, quite street ensuring your peace and tranquillity, while at the same time granting easy access to everything you may wish for. We sincerely hope that your stay with us will be an enjoyable and memorable experience!
Walking around the building you will find parts of my collection and my family's collection as well. In every room we have added real works of art and some have to do with the history of the property, the neighbourhood and the city.
Gatto Perso is located at the centre of Thessaloniki, right next to the Roman Forum, one of the most important archaeological sites of the city. The Ancient Forum, with an area covering approximately 20 stremma, was located at the heart of the Roman city and housed public buildings and private spaces. Directly below the Roman Forum and at a distance of roughly 5 minutes on foot is Aristotelous Square leading to the sea and the city's renowned promenade, with its many coffee shops and restaurants. Around the square lies the heart of the city's commercial and business centre, lively all day round. Should one ascent from Gatto Perso they will find themselves in picturesque Ano Poli, with its listed buildings, narrow alleys and hidden courtyards.
