The Kormoranos-Hydrobates Villa is located in the historical industrial district of Tabakaria of the wider area Halepa, right above the sea, proud on the rocks and is 2 kilometers away from the center of Chania, Crete. It is an old tannery, which restored and arranged for its new use in 2024, consequently and respect to the Greek regulations of the architectural composition for the former industrial buildings in the area. It covers 340 square meters interior, has a private swimming pool and a jacuzzi in the veranda, amazing and unobstructed panoramic view towards the Cretan Sea. Alongside, it is fully equipped providing guests comfortable and relaxing accommodation.

I'm a kind of a new host, but I have many years experience with people from all over the world as Ι was activating to our family restaurant business. I'm fond of meeting people and do my best to fulfill their expectations for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I also like swimming, exercise, hiking, cinema and traveling.

Our neighborhood is called Tabakaria and it is a historical industrial district of the wider area of Halepa in Chania. Tabakaria mean tanneries, which were created in the middle of the 19th century as leather processing factories. The main installations of the buildings were made during the Egyptian rule while their location was chosen according to the assumption that it was far enough from the city of Chania next to a shallow sea, the water of which served in the first stage of the processing of the skins. In nowadays, most of the tanneries are abandoned while some of them have changed use. One of them that has changed use is our Villa. The only element that has remained untouched by time is the imposing architecture of Tabakaria. The buildings have an entrance from the road and from the sea side are two or three steps. Furthermore, very near us there is the recently constructed Archaeological Museum of Chania, an additional gem in the area and the Residence of Eleftherios Venizelos, both very worth to visit.
