Lara's house is a traditional stone house on the edge of the village center of Agios Nikolaos. The central village square is only 300 meters away with supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. The house has a total of two floors. It is very suitable for two families or groups of friends because, in addition to a main entrance, it also has two separate lockable entrance doors to the ground floor with the terrace and the first floor with the balcony, from there you can see the Mount Athos and the surrounding hills. Each floor has a bathroom and a kitchenette, There are a variety of parking options on the nearby main street, next to the house. The famous Trani Ammouda Beach with fine-grained sand and crystal-clear waters overlooking Mount Athos is just 5 minutes’ drive and easy to reach.

The village of Aghios Nikolaos has 2,000 inhabitants and is a traditional village with schools, shops, police station and medical care center. The village is very well maintained with many beautiful stone houses. It is centrally located and the towns of Nikiti as a tourist center, Ormos Panagias with its fish restaurants right on the beach and the famous Karidi beach are within a 15-minute drive. That is also the reason why we as a family decided to buy this two-story stone house, which was built in 1915 and was extensively renovated between 2010 and 2015. We use it ourselves with our relatives in spring and autumn and enjoy spending time there. In summer it is available to our guests. It's worth discovering the entire Sithonia peninsula. The towns of Vourvourou, Sarti, Kalamitsi, Porto Koufo, Toroni, Nea Marmaras and Parthenonas each have their own charm. There is the opportunity to go hiking and also discover beautiful sandy beaches. The landscape is hilly covered with pine forests and olive trees and a rugged coastline. To the west of Agios Nikolaos is Nikiti and Old Nikiti, which is very busy in the summer months. Metamorfosi and Psakoudia are beautiful little places on the coast where you can admire the sunsets. To the east of Agios NIkolaos are the villages of Salonikiou and Pyrgadikia. The drive along the coast with a view of the Athos peninsula is very beautiful. From the nearby village Vourvourou you can rent motorboats without a license and from Ormos Panagias ships go for day trips around the Athos peninsula. Most of the sights mentioned can be reached within 15 to 30 minutes by car, which underlines the central location of Agios Nikolaos as a starting point for half-day tours.
