During your vacation I will not be available in person. You can find me on my phone and all popular communication platforms. However, I will be in the island in case you need me and of course I will be available to assist you with whatever you need.
Heating
The apartment is also perfect for winter accommodation. It has oil heating, 2 Air-Condition units and 1 fireplace.
Long term winter stays
For long term stays (more than 28 nights) there is a special discount on price per night. The price includes electricity, hot water and WiFi. Note that during a long term winter stay heating by Oil (radiators) or Wood (fireplace) is paid extra by guests according to their own needs and usage. Upon your arrival the oil tank will be full and upon your check out you will have to fill it up. Firewood delivery may be arranged on request and guests will have to pay for the wood. Cleaning
During a long term stay it is recommended to apply a professional cleaning in the apartment at least 1-2 times per month. This can be arranged with the cleaning lady. Enquire with me for more information.
House rules >>
- Self Check in: You will collect the keys yourself from a lockbox located in the entrance.
-Please remember to mention the time of your arrival in Lefkada to make the proper arrangements for your check in.
- Not suitable for children ages 3-12
- Smoking is allowed only outdoors
- Using sunscreen oil or make up may cause stains in bed linens and towels. Please take a shower first.
- Do not throw papers in the toilet. There is a waste bin next to the toilet.
- Turn off the Air-condition and lights when you are not in the property.
- All guests should store, transfer and dispose all garbage to the containers provided by the municipality of Lefkada near the parking area. Grey bins (waste) & Blue bins (recycling).
- Don't use the barbecue when temperatures are high or when it is windy.
Property information
A traditional island house located in the heart of the old town of Lefkada. The home has 2 levels and has a private entrance with a cozy yard and It can accommodate up to 4 guests.
This 170-year-old house has been renovated to match the exact materials and architecture used on the old houses of Lefkada but without missing any of the modern amenities and comforts needed for a pleasant and carefree vacation on the island. Walk through the venetian alleys and experience the local life of the historical center. Get familiar with the island customs and products and be close to restaurants and to the nearby crystal blue water beaches.
The house has a combination of a vintage-rustic modern aesthetic with many furniture and other details to make it cozy and functional. It has 2 levels: The upper level (attic) has 1 Master bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, 1 bathroom (bathtub with shower head), A/C, ceiling fan. The main level (living room) has a lounge area with 1 sofa, 2 arm chairs, 1 *double sofa bed, 1 single chair bed, office table, open plan kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, dinning table for 6, A/C, ceiling fan. (*Double sofa bed available by February 2025)
The floor on the living room is made of cork which is a healthy and durable material as well as soundproofed. The living room has mild colors and has its own balcony. The A/C unit and the ceiling fan will make the hot days cooler. The working fireplace and central heating will on the other hand make the cold days warmer.
There is a 43' Sony 4k TV as well as HDMI and audio cables for your laptop and a Bluetooth speaker. The high speed WiFi internet available 24h (350MB) will make things easier for every guest. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances/pots/utensils. such as espresso machine with pods, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, etc. Fresh white linens and beach towels are provided. Sheets and towels are charged every week. In case you need to replace them earlier please enquire with me.
Neighbourhood information
The house is located in a very central spot which is quiet and at the same time close to the action of Lefkada town. In 1 minute walking distance you can be in a restaurant, bakery, mini market, kiosk, shop and everything else you can imagine. The house has 3 floors. The rental home is on the 1st/2nd floor of the house, and it is accessed from the yard's main entrance. By entering the yard there are stone stairs to reach the 1st floor and the private entrance of the rental home.
The ground floor is separated from the 1st floor and is occupied by a bookshop, which also has its own private entrance and exit door to the garden/yard. The yard is typically shared with the bookshop's staff mostly during working days/hours (9am to 5pm), so if you are a bibliophile you may have a nice book- conversation with them. Also, on some occasions you might be lucky to see an evening event in the garden.
Both floors have their own privacy and independence. Additionally, the 1st floor (rental home) has a soundproofed floor, so it's not possible to hear any sounds or noises coming from the bookshop or vice-versa. You will both be able to enjoy your quiet or loud moments :)
