A 1871 built aristocratic house in the capital of Andros (Chora) by the sea, only minutes on foot from the Agora ,the Museums the beaches, with a unique view of the bay, the horizon and the mountains . The light pours in from the tall windows , hear the waves crush against the rocks as a background noise . Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Two lovable attic rooms with inclined ceiling , stairway to reach them a bit steep , elderly people not fit and people with mobility problems might have difficulty ascending and descending. The two balconies with uninterrupted view invite you to relax.
A pleasure having you stay at my house , meeting you , coming from all parts of the world. Happy to tell you about my ancestors story , who built the house and I inherited. Also the story of Andros and the particular identity of Chora , which was built the last 200 hundred years as a city by a class of shipowners and ship managers expanding around the globe and bringing back wealth and culture to the island. Unique among the Cycladic islands. Also being a volunteer for the Andros Routes initiative, proud to present to you the 200kms of old paths that we have been cleaning , maintaining and signalling. A volunteer effort that started 14 years ago.
The center of Chora is only minutes away from the house , as well as the archeological and modern art museums. The Andros Festival during August is an excellent cultural addition to the art exhibitions Numerous restaurants , offering excellent dishes of local and international food as well as taverna's close by. Free Parking can be found close by. Walk on the seaside and beaches , swim in crystal clear waters.
