Neratzia is a small local business focused to provide an authentic experience of the Athenian lifestyle. The building was built in 1934. It had several uses in the past and remained closed in the last few years. Inspired by the colorful scenery of the neighborhood, we fully refurbished it and created a beautiful hotel with a warm local cafe-bistro on the ground floor. We did everything possible not to alterate its authentic character, connecting the past with present times. A large three-story building that was modulated to consist of five autonomous rooms that can host from two to four people. We maintained any wooden features on the floors and facade, carefully selected the colors for the interior, making the best use of the Athenian sun which is present most of the time all year round. We created our “home”. Our breakfast is served at the bistro on the ground floor which is open to the public and a great place to enjoy excellent food, coffee, drinks or cocktails.

Neratzia hotel is located in the old Athenian neighborhood of Koukaki and offers excellent and authentic accommodation just 10minutes walk from the Acropolis. The area is under Philopappou hill. A hill that links Koukaki with Plaka, the Acropolis museum and Thisio, making Koukaki the ideal area as it is very close to the busy centre of Athens but not in the centre. Thus allowing you to decide whether to pass your time in a busier or more calm environment. In a vibrant location, filled with resilient bitter orange trees(neratzia), Koukaki attracts people of all ages. Young people interacting with elders, creating this way a bridge from the past to the future. This can be witnessed in the small businesses of the area which are built with love and attention. Specifically, you will find galleries, shops, bakeries, cafeterias and bar. Some busier and others more quiet. Street food as well as restaurants.
