The shingle/pebble beach sits 150m in front of the complex with translucent water. With only a handful of accommodation in this bay, the beach never gets crowded, even in August! Local taverns with traditional Greek cuisine can be reached on foot from Oliva Holiday Homes, as can mini-markets. The beach is also well known to the kite-surfers. Athens Airport is 2 hours from here. 40 km from here you can visit Patras, the capital city of the Prefecture. There you can find many high-end boutiques, a newly built state-of-the-art archeological Museum, fancy restaurants, sushi bars, and many bars and cafes. Also Patras has a very well-known graffiti art festival worth a visit. Ancient Olympia, the place where the Olympic Games began, is about 170 km away, but totally worth a visit. There you can find the archaeological site and the Archaeological Museum with many interesting exhibits. Nafpaktos is a beautiful small city you can visit, after crossing the Rio bridge, only 46 km away! If you feel like visiting the mountains, Helmos is your place.
