Hello! My name is Karen, and I am from the UK. I came to Thassos 17 years ago when I met and married my Thassian husband, Stavros. I think that I am incredibly lucky to live and work on what is probably the most beautiful place on the planet. I enjoy painting the country-side around me, and walking through it. I also enjoy gardening....which I think will be clear when you visit Olive Garden Villas as I have worked very hard with the native plants to create a beautiful flower garden to complement the villas.

Golden Beach is a beautiful and unspoiled resort with a very traditional Greek flavour. The beach has 3km of fine golden sand, with clean waters. The bay is surrounded by pine covered mountains, and the resort itself has many olive groves within it. There is a stunning array of wild-flowers and the bird and butterfly population in the area.There are restaurants offering both traditional Greek food, and those who have taken the local food and elevated it to new heights with their own personal flair. The beach offers a watersports centre, including pedaloes, parasailing and banana boats and you can take boat trips from the small port. The mountain village of Panagia is just 3km away, and it is worth a visit to see its ancient architecture. Limenas is 8 km away, which boasts a wealth of Roman and Greek archaeology, and a magnificent museum documenting the history of Thassos right back to the neolithic era.
