There are plenty of ways to spend your time whilst on holiday to Gerani, Rethymno. The beaches are just 1 km away and the warm weather provide the opportunity for swimming, boating, diving and fishing. Of course, sunning on the beach with a cold drink and a good book is another option. The village has lovely taverna where you can enjoy a tasty meal, just 1 km away and a mini market for your daily needs, as well as a bakery just 1.5 km away. Episkopi beach, just 5 minutes away by car, is a long sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for the young guests to enjoy the clear blue water and sun all day long. The east side of the beach is not organised for those who wish for a quiet spot, while on the west side you could take pleasure in water sports. Additionally, there are lots of beach cafes, taverns and bars and all the amenities one would need. In the western part of the beach you can find places with lifeguards, showers, changing rooms and umbrellas. The whole location spreads over a distance of 11 km along the Almirou Bay via Kavros till Georgioupolis and gives home to all kinds of water sports, and a dive centre.
