Emporio, or eborio in Greek, is the biggest village in Santorini. Unlike some other villages on the island that are strictly for tourists, Emporio is an active local village with all the necessary services such as bakery, supermarket , restaurants cafes and others. the traditional settlement is beautifully built and preserved. You can walk in the quiet alleys and feel the special atmosphere. You will be away from the crowds but yet close to all attractions. The castell of Emporio is the nicest on the island. It was built by the venetians hundreds of years ago and still have the old authentic look. So is the Goulash tower. Some beautiful churches are all around the village, and the best beaches of Prissa and Perivolos are next by. Public buses are 5 minutes away, and a public parking space is about 100 meter away. supermarkets and restaurants are 5 minutes walking distance away.
