Sea Captains deck offers a stylish studio experience. Glimpse the white mountains & rustic landscape from your private balcony. Within walking distance to a selection of superb beaches along a stunning coastline which leads to Chania. Built on the roof of our home are two studios which back onto each other. Located on a residential street we provide one car parking space per studio at the front of our house and a staircase leads up from the parking lot to the studio. At the top of the communal stairs is an entryway area to your studio where you have space to sit. The open plan studio, has a kitchenette with fridge, mini oven and portable electric two ring hob with equipment to cater for simple meals during your stay, alongside a counter top seating area with barstools. The private bathroom has a toilet, sink with an open shelf, and a walk in shower. The simply furnished main area has a clothes hanging space, drawers, mirror, bed side units with double bed looking out towards your own private balcony, with garden and mountain views it has a frosted glass partition to separate from the neighbouring studio. Outdoor seating and table is provided to enjoy al fresco dining and relaxing in the sun! The studio has air conditioning and free wifi. Please note no cleaning service is provided during your stay. There is a mop/bucket & brush on the walkway shared with the next door studio should you require it. Clean linen and towels are changed once per week.

A warm welcome aboard 'Sea captains deck' which gets its name from your host 'Savvas' a recently retired sea captain. Born and raised in Chania he will happily chat, share his wealth of knowledge and love for his homeland. He's also great at giving weather reports & helping out to pick the best beach depending on the wind. "Sally his Derbyshire - deck hand keeps things clean, tidy and ... shipshape" Together we both enjoy time spent at sea in our kayak, fishing, exploring and of course looking after our visitors.

We are located in a residential neighborhood, our house and studios are on a fairly quiet street as it has no through access, you have the country sounds alongside the comings and goings of our surrounding friendly neighbours. Located up an incline from the superb coastline, of Agioi Apostoloi which is formed from three connected coves with a choice of four different sandy beaches to choose from, all within walking distance and the closest being 520m, less than 10 minutes. The beaches all have small cafes and plenty of facilities. A very pleasant area for walking you can go off the beaten path along the rugged coastline, even walk into Chania along a coastal path. In between the beaches is a park with groves of pine and eucalyptus trees. Away from the beaches why not wander the villages of Daratsos and Galatas, they offer some stunning views and a few traditional tavernas. There is a wide selection of tavernas restaurants and takeaways dotted around us with shops & supermarkets bakeries,chemists and coffee shops all close by. We are also close to the main roads so good links to go explore what the rest of Crete has to offer.
