Vecchia casa sterna is a small(11m2) but very practical and cosy rum perfect for couples or ond person who want to experience living in a real castle. Advantages: a)Really low price,b) 1 minut walk to the rocky beach ”portelo”,c)the house is very close to the main door of the entrance to the Castle, which gives it an important asset in terms of accessibility and traveling around. It is located close to the heart of traditional small cafes, tavernas and artisan shops. The Portello at the bottom of the city walls is a 1-minute walk away and allows you to swim while admiring the castle walls. A unic experience you will remember forever. The rum is also totally renovated july 2022.

The house is beautiful, old and historic and more than 800 years old.”Vecchia Casa sterna” is a small cosy and totally renovated rum(11m2)on the ground floor of our house(ni view). You can enjoy your coffe at our outside table and enjoy the sea which is only 1 minut away from our house. On the main path of the castle you will find many restaurants and shops to enjoy along with the wonderful view. The old Town of Monemvasia is a medieval castle where cars are not allowed. The standard procedure is to reach the gate, unload your luggage and then park your car away from the castle, at the free parking spaces near the town. There is a shuttle bus that can take you to the castle from the town for a very small fee. Feel free to contact me if you have any queries. From the 10th century AD, the town developed into an important trade and maritime centre. The fortress has withstood countless invasions and seiges over the centuries, earning it the nickname 'Gibraltar of the East'. Today it is one of the most picturesque places in Greece, and that's saying something!
