Athamanio, a village which is totally immersed into firs, were built on the fringes of Southern Tzoumerka. with it's houses amphitheatrically placed, from an altitude of 700m in the centre of the village up to the 2,393m of the mountain peak. The most important attraction of the area is the double waterfalls that form on the river Aspri Goura. They are called Souda waterfalls and are among the largest waterfalls in Greece.
