Vourkari is the most beautiful spot in Kea, with its beautiful natural harbour lined with exclusive restaurants, cafes, small cocktail bars and boutiques, all just a short walk down a villa's pathway. From the villa, a lovely walk or morning jog for the energetic is to the Faros/lighthouse which takes you past Aiyia Irini church and the next door bronze age settlement and various swimming spots. Only a short drive is the ferry port of the island (Korissia) with all amenities and from there the Xora - Ioulida - is one of the most picturesque in the Cyclades. As well as the many great beaches in Kea, there are some beautiful ancient walking trails around the island; archeological sites such as Ancient Karthea, and a well-stocked museum; boat and bike hire options; Padi-suba diving; watersports; an outdoor cinema and much more. Many roads are unpaved but all cars are fine. Cars can be hired at the airport or in Kea.
