Lubenice is a village located on a 380m high rock above the sea level that has existed for 4 centuries making "whims" to the bora wind that often turns it. From its rocks you can see the Kvarner bay as on a postcard and sometimes after the bora you can see the coasts of the Apennine Archipelago. The village is surrounded by walls and two entrance doors that look one on the east and one on the north the village is surrounded by 5 churches within the walls there is the basilica of Madonna Candalora. Inside the walls there is a small bar attached to a bell tower, a restaurant called "Hibernica", an ethnological museum, from the place you can reach two beaches, which you can visit on foot, the one you see in the town is called "Sveti Ivan" which is ranked 14th as the best beach in the world, the other beach is called "Plava Grota" (Blue Cave).
