I have more than seven years of experience working as a surf guide, surf instructor in several surf camps in Bali and six years working as Event Specialist for Red Bull Indonesia. The word "makai" originates from Hawaiian and translates to "towards the sea" or "seaward." Makai Medewi is a cozy, private beach bungalow, nestled in a lush, emerald-green rice paddy that faces the black lava sand beaches of Sumbul and Medewi; both of which are renowned for their dreamy surf conditions.
