The large living space is the central area of the house, 100 m2. Take a seat at one of the adjoining terraces or at the big wooden dining table and enjoy the fantastic view of the Bali Sea. Or sit on the comfortable sofa and enjoy watching TV, listening to your favourite music, or reading a good book. When the large glass doors are opened, outside and inside flow together. This part of the living room has an enormously high Balinese alang-alang roof. Newly added (Nov 2018) is a spacious, open kitchen: Cook with a grant ocean view. Two bar chairs at the end of the kitchen island to enjoy a drink, work a bit, or just keep the chef company. Three large bedrooms, with AC and luxury bathrooms. Two bedroom with king size beds, spring mattress (210 x 180 cm). Completely furnished with mosquito net, desk, and comfortable chairs. Both with extra (single) beds. One bedroom with twin (single) beds (King Koil spring mattresses), and a sofa bed.

We are a mixed Dutch-Indonesian couple, we met when Jonathan worked in Jakarta where Theresia worked at BP. We moved to The Hague in 2009 and whilst we are enjoying our life here, we haven't forgotten about Indonesia! Our most favourite place has always the east of Bali, we have been visiting this beautiful area for many years. Theresia has been thrilled to have been able to acquire Villa Celagi, some 8km south of Amed, and loves managing our property for guests when we are not vacationing there ourselves.

A few minutes walk from the house, there is a sandy beach. You might see a few fishermen working on their nets, but often you’ve got the beach to yourself. With snorkel or diving equipment, the underwater world opens up in the pristine coral riff just off our shoreline and beyond the sandy beach. Another option is to rent a Jukung on this beach and take a run above water in a boat with an outboard motor. A little further away, in the village of Banyuning you can rent snorkel or diving equipment and explore the Japanese patrol boat that sunk here in World War II. You can walk along the coast, small shops and a couple of restaurants are very close by. Alternatively we can arrange motorbikes for you to rent, or a car (with driver). The diving schools as well as many of the restaurants organise free pick up and drop off from the private villas along this beautiful stretch of the coast.
