Serenity Eco Guesthouse & Yoga is a family-owned business located in Canggu, Bali. Since we started on 2 January 1999, Serenity has pioneered sustainable growth, where permaculture, yoga, eating healthy and eco-friendly accommodation play a key role in our everyday business. The founders are French-born entrepreneur Daniel Chieppa and his Balinese wife Yatna whom he met on the island. Their son, Krishna, was brought into the family business years later.

Property information

Beginning as a family home in Canggu, Bali, Serenity was built into an Eco Guesthouse. We recycle most of our rubbish and reuse our wastewater for our plants. Alkaline Restaurant, located inside Serenity, is 100% vegan with a broad variety of raw dishes. We do not use chemical pesticides or fertilizer in our garden. Relax by our pool, join any of the 10 daily yoga classes, stroll through our permaculture garden, have a massage on-site or meditate in our specialized meditation room Official Vipassana meditation room as taught by S.N. Goenka. Group sitting is held every Wednesday from 6.30-7.30 pm but only for old students who have done a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course. Vipassana, which means to see things as they are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills.
