The perfect mountainside retreat, far away from the hubbub of modern life. The lodge offers magnificent, panoramic views of Lugnacoille Mountain (highest mountain in Wicklow) and its surrounding peaks and valleys. The lodge is set on a working sheep farm with poultry and all manner of wildlife to be expected in the stunning Irish countryside. The uninterrupted night sky view is pristine for star-gazing. Sporting all home comforts, there is duel central heating with a wood burning stove to make the evenings cosy and warm. There is a modern electric shower downstairs and limited wifi. Parking is available at the property, though it should be noted that this is a mountainside lodge and the rugged lane up to the property is approximately 1km long. Owing to its idyllic, remote location, it is necessary to bring any & all groceries along with you, and good practical footwear.

Set on the shoulder of Aghavannagh mountain, it is ideally situated for anyone looking to get away from a busy hectic lifestyle. There are ample walking trails, mountain hikes, and a local natural swimming hole. The village of Aughrim is a 10-minute drive away, and contains a bowling green, fishing lodge, shops, takeaways, a coffeeshop, and pubs. Glenmalure and Macreddin are each located nearby, offering historic walking trails or a golf club, respectively. We are also an ideal base for the Wicklow way. Glendalough, with its historic monastic settlement , is only a 30-minute drive away. The famous Dwyer–McAllister cottage in the Glen of Imaal is only 20 minutes away.
