Desart School Garden Chalet was built in 2021. The Chalet is situated on the grounds of Desart School(1835), amid 3 acres of garden,woodland and wild spaces. Desart School was built by Lady Desart for local children. She was a land owner and great philanthropist in Kilkenny City and County during the 1800's.
I enjoy travelling and experiencing new places. Originally from Dublin City, moved to Kilkenny City and finally settled in Desart but still an avid fan of Dublin GAA and now just as devoted to Kilkenny hurling. I am an experienced host, having hosted guests in the Schoolhouse in the recent past.
The Chalet is conveniently located 15km from the medieval city of Kilkenny, with its many historical attractions. The city boasts many fine dining and entertainment venues. Locally, there are many walking and cycling routes and Ballykeefe Amphitheatre is a popular concert venue during the summer months. The Chalet is ideally located for day trips to the Rock of Cashel, Clonmel and Waterford City and County.
