Company information

I grew up in the tourist business as my parents ran a hotel in Kildare so I have always wanted to get back into the hospitality industry. I have owned this house from the early '90's when I returned from New York where I had lived for a number of years. I have been in the building trade for the last 20 years so I thought I would combine the two and refurbish the house and provide rental accommodation in an extremely convenient locations to tourists. We have been doing this since 2010 and we love it. Living in Kildare we are about 1 hours drive from the property but we are available at all times to answer queries or to provide any advice that is needed. Our guests are our priority and we aim to provide each and every one with a wonderful stay be it for work or pleasure. We manage to meet most guests on arrival but if we can't we arrange to leave a key out and email details of how to find them. We are always available by phone or email and we are happy to assist guests in any way we can.

Property information

The house is a beautiful red brick Victorian building and during the refurbishment I managed to keep many of the original features such as the beautiful coving and marble fireplaces. Each apartment has it's own charm and has been lovingly restored. Even though it's in a busy part of Dublin the house is quiet and peaceful at night so a good nights sleep is guaranteed. Located just 10 minutes from the city centre by bus this street is a beautifully tree lined street which runs right up the the entrance of the Phoenix Park. This park is the largest urban park in Europe and houses Dublin Zoo and the presidential home and offices as well as a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to visit and spans over 1750 acres. . There are 2 major supermarkets just 2 minutes walk as well as a pharmacy, bakery, coffee shops, bars, restuarants and many other amenities all within easy walking distance. There is an excellent bus service right outside the front door. There is a wonderful pub close by as well called the Cobblestone which play traditional Irish music nightly and is a fanatastic way to end an evening.

Neighbourhood information

This is mainly a residential neighborhood and is very popular due to it's proximity to the city centre. It's an up and coming area and over the last number of years a lot of new bars and restaurants have opened, Grangegorman College is also a new addition to the area. There are 2 major supermarkets within 2 minutes walk as well as bakery, butchers, pharmacy all located around the corner. There are plenty of cafes, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs as well so guests will never go hungry or thirsty. Getting a bus couldn't be easier as the bus stops right outside the front door. Buses are regular and reach the city centre in 10 minutes. There is also the light rail system called the Luas which is extremely convenient as well. Just 8 minutes walk from the front door is the beautiful Phoenix Park. This is Europe's largest urban park and is home to our president. It is also where the Zoo is located. All major sites are easily reached such as Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar, Kilmainham Gaol, Trinity College, Collins Barracks, National Gallery so this location is ideal for exploring the wonderful city of Dublin.
