Kate’s Cottage is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way R289) approximately 1.5 km south east of Kilcar village. Although relatively new, the cottage was built to resemble an old style single story dwelling with period touches such as half door, bumpy plaster, and flag floor. Once inside, you are greeted with a large hearth , traditional stove ( solid fuel provided), warm golden timber finishing and old style dresser. Downstairs comprises of a large open plan kitchen & dining area, downstairs king bedroom and adjacent to these are a shower &awet room and a disabled equipped toilet. Moving upstairs, you will find a large open style bedroom with a double and single bed and a full bathroom. The cottage enjoys stunning views in a quiet, peaceful environment

There are several beaches less than five minutes away ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, beach fishing or surfing. Boat trips are available in the nearby Teelin for angling and sightseeing around Slieve League ( Europes highest sea cliff). If you think it’s impressive from the top looking down, it is positively awesome gazing upwards from the decks of a boat. Our annually visiting dolphin friends might even join you. If hillwalking is your thing, then there are numerous mapped and sign posted walks in the surrounding area and a scatter of archaeological sites to visit also. Sample some of our locally sourced produce at our award winning restaurants such as ‘The Rusty Mackerel’, Teelin, ‘The Boathouse’ Killybegs and‘The Blue Haven’ Kilcar with panoramic sea views and ‘The Slieve League’ restaurant (Carrick). With Towney Pier being just a minutes stroll from Kate’s Cottage, you could even venture at catching your own delights from the bay.
