Lough View cottage is the perfect place to get away from all that life throws at you. The ideal place to relax and unwind in the rugged countryside of Donegal. The cottage is modern and has everything you need for the perfect getaway. It has amazing views out over Glen Lough and Muckish Mountain and over to Sheepheven Bay and Downings. The award winning and famous Old Glen Bar is only 1 mile from the cottage. It is famous for it's brilliant food and traditional Irish pub atmosphere. The village of Carrigart is only 4 miles away and has supermarkets and other pubs and restaurants.

We are John and Nichola and have 3 young sons. We love travelling and doing Home exchanges all over Europe. This is a holiday cottage that we rent out so others can enjoy what we are so used to the beautiful Donegal countryside with beaches and hiking all around.

Fabulous beaches are all over this part of Donegal. Tramore is only 5 minutes drive from the cottage and is one of the longest beaches in Ireland. Also on your doorstep are stunning golf courses like Rosapenna Golf club (10 minutes drive) Portsalon Golf club (20 minutes) Dunfanaghy (15 minutes) and Letterkenny (30 minutes). Also Glenveagh National Park is 20 minutes away. It has a beautiful walk up to the Castle and Tea rooms and lovely gardens in the summer time. The town of Letterkenny (25,000) has everything you might need from pubs and clubs to shopping centres to hospitals etc. There are hiking trails everywhere in this part of Donegal so just pick one and away you go.
