The property is a newly refurbished 200 year old cottage which retains many of the original features including granite lintels and fire places. There are two double bedrooms with comfy double beds (both beds are standard doubles - 135cm x 190cm), high quality linens and plenty of storage space, an open plan living area, wooden floors, and a private courtyard with outdoor table and chairs. The bathroom has all the amenities you will need to freshen up including a bath and a fantastic drencher shower. Fresh towels are provided for your convenience and there is also a washing machine. There are a number of pubs and restaurants in the immediate area. Guests can explore the city during the day and retreat to and relax in a quiet home at the end of the day. The Cottage is located in Blackrock, Dublin just off Newtownpark Avenue with a range of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways close by should you wish to eat out or order in. There is also a Dunnes Supermarket two minutes walk away which has all you need including a fantastic deli counter. There is a lot to do and see in the local area and there are also a number of bus stops nearby and Blackrock DART (train) station an easy 15-20 minute walk enabling guest to explore with ease. With great cafes, restaurants, takeaways and deli counter at Dunnes all in the immediate area, you'll be well catered and the Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook a delicious meal at home. Just to note, the Cottage is completely self contained but it is attached to the entrance hall of the main house (which we live in) by a door, however this is locked and has a blind on either side to ensure total privacy for the duration of your stay. The house is in a quiet, very friendly neighborhood - as such we have a zero-tolerance policy for parties, gatherings, loud noises or exceeding the approved number of guests staying at the property. If this is breached we reserve the right to cancel your stay with no refund.

The area in the immediate vicinity of the house has a fantastic local pub, Michelin Star restaurant, cozy local coffee shop, Thai restaurant, range of takeaways, great local supermarket (Dunnes) bottle shop and chemist. Blackrock village is a flat 15-20 minute walk which has a brilliant range of shops and restaurants (two are Michelin Star), pubs and the train into Dublin City centre or down the coast to a number of beautiful towns and villages.
