Welcome to Rodeen on the magnificent Beara peninsula in the South West corner of Ireland. Our log cabin is located at 3 minutes from the busy fishing port of Castletownbere. Set in an exceptional sub-tropical garden, nestled in the Caha mountains and overlooking Bantry bay, with panoramic views of Bere island, the log cabin offers quite seclusion for visitors. The surrounding area is the ultimate in peace and tranquility. Rodeen is a comfortable chalet equipped with fitted kitchen, flat screen TV and 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds. A perfect night’s sleep is guaranteed with still silent nights. The living-room gives access to a terrace where you can enjoy the beauty of the garden. Free wifi and private parking are available for guests on site. During the stay, electricity cost shall be borne by the guests. The electricity-meter reading is done on arrival and on departure. The unit price is : 0.20 Euro. The guests may, if they wish, also join the home-prepared breakfast from the Bed & Breakfast which is close to the log cabin.

Rodeen is a little gem on the Beara peninsula which allows you to visit the surrounding towns such as Kenmare (48km), Bantry (51km), Killarney (90km), Cork (125km) or even the national forest park of Gougane Barra (65km). The area is popular for golfing, cycling, hiking, kayaking. Bike rental can also be arranged. From here, you can go to the Bere and Dursey islands, drive along the coast and enjoy the landscapes of the Ring of Beara. The village of Eyeries, Allihies’ beach, the Healy pass which crosses over the spine of the peninsula, the Buddhist meditation centre “Dzogchen Beara” should not be missed.
