Hello, my name is Mark Meehan, and I am the son of Des and Margot, the owners of Bellingham Estate. On our Estate, our guests can choose from 3 different cottages on the property, all varying in size and style. I am happy to answer any questions or inquiries regarding your stay!

The Mews is a stylish, three-bedroom, two-bathroom semi-detached cottage situated on the original grounds of Bellingham Castle. A converted stable house, this cottage is not only luxurious but historical, as it was originally built in 1730. Each room has it's own private entrance, and the cottage is complete with a full kitchen, living room, and of course, highspeed WIFI access. This is the perfect space for an overnight with friends, a romantic getaway, a family trip, or a solo stay.

We are located in the heart of Castlebellingham, which is a small friendly village. It has a cafe, a shop, post office, 2 take-aways, a butcher's shop, 2 pubs, a barber, and a hair and make-up beauty salon. We are very lucky to be located so close to the M1 motorway (5 mins.). We are also a 5-minute drive from the coast! Annagassan is a beautiful, sleepy little village located on the coast, which we recommend you visit. It boasts impressive, picture-perfect views of the Cooley Mountains and easy-access beach walks. Annagassan is also home to a truly authentic Irish pub & restaurant, The Glyde Inn (voted the pub of the year 2018). Blackrock is another coastal village, fifteen minutes drive away, which is worth a visit as well. It has lovely restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, and a beach promenade walk. Whatever your interests, Bellingham Estate can accommodate and give helpful recommendations. There is a bus stop in the village which is a 5-minute walk from the cottage. This is the Dublin to Belfast route which stops in both Drogheda and Dundalk. Parking is available at the cottage for up to 4 cars.
