''James Lyons' at The Old Main St, has a place in history. One of the oldest building complexes in Ballyhaunis that is centrally located on the Main St and in the Centre of Town. The former coachmans house, was built in the 1880's and traded for decades in providing accommodation to the many racegoers and jockeys at the nearby racetrack. Since the early 1960's the building traded as pub and town center guesthouse until the early 2000's at which point it became vacant and derelict. Having recently received a full refurbishment with exquisite decor, the building has been transformed and brought back to its former life, with the addition of 14 ensuite bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 32 people. In addition to the refurbished bedrooms, a new courtyard and coffee shop have been added which have brought new life and breath to the Main St. 'James Lyons' is an ideal location for both large groups (32 pax) whilst also meeting the needs of single/couple/family and smaller groups and bookings.
