I live here permanently with my husband and children. Before coming here we have also lived and worked and France. Greg and I work extremely hard to ensure our cottages and gardens are well maintained and obviously cared for. We love what we do. It is a genuine pleasure meeting new people, helping them to enjoy what's on offer in and around the surrounding areas and give any recommendations or advise if needed. Being on hand should any problems arise works well for everybody as we can act so quickly. The cottages where built in the late 1850s by Frederick Twining as part of the farm and its buildings. Although not originally designed as a home, two of the existing cottages have been used as such for nearly a century. The others have been developed since the 1980's. The cottage building and gardens have since been passed from one of his daughters, Charlotte, to her daughter Mary, and from Mary to her niece Noreen and is now in the possession and care of her descendants.

Cleggan Farm Holiday Cottages are country style, self-catering cottages. They were developed within a converted building which originally housed a very large 2 storey turbine driven granary, 2 cottages, a workshop and a stable. They are all individually appealing, full of character and charm, from the smallest, which is ideal for a single person or couple, to our largest which can sleep up to 9 people. If your group is bigger we can accommodate you in a combination of cottages to suit your needs. Cleggan Farm Holiday Cottages are situated on the north side of Cleggan Bay, opposite Cleggan village. We are 11km from Clifden, 14km from Letterfrack and 90km from Galway.

Cleggan offers some of the most beautiful beaches around, we really are spoilt for choice. Of an evening there is a choice of 4 village pubs to choose from each offering their own unique hospitality, music, charm and craic. There is a village shop, riding stables and the most stunning scenery all around. With the backdrop of the twelve bens to the East and the Atlantic to the west, sunrises and sunsets are a thing to cherish and marvel at. Cleggan Farm Cottages are situated on the north side of Cleggan Bay, opposite Cleggan village where there are daily sailings to one of the jewels of the west coast, Inishbofin. As you approach the Holiday Cottages the scenery is breathtaking. The peace and wide open space gives a natural and wonderful atmosphere. There are many natural places to discover nearby, walks up hills and mountains or on the beaches and coves too numerous to name, and places of interest for example mines, castles, venues, fishing and farming villages, music and musicians, pubs and craft shops, wonderful restaurants in the villages and towns close by. You can also do a little mackerel fishing or collect fresh mussels, even try trout fishing on a lake.
