We packed our home in Mumbai into a Volkswagen Polo and drove to Dibrugarh in 2021 to be with our ageing parents. Our lives have been split between the city and Assam ever since, but we have always wanted to do something that would root us here for the long haul. That something is Golpo, a fledgling lending library and homestay. Each room has been curated the way we like to live: simply, minimally, with no fuss. We have brought in stories from our travels and the comforts of the homes we have lived in. At Golpo, you will be just a 10-minute walk from Assam Medical College, but you will feel a world away. You will have easy access to local public transport, shops, the supermarket and local tea gardens. But once you step into our street, you will find yourself in a quiet corner.
