My name is Ba and I grew up in Barna, a village south of Jaisalmer, where I worked as a farmer for many years. About ten years ago, I started to organize camel safaris to the desert and sharing my knowledge about wildlife and plants with different travelers. From there I decided to open this hotel in 2012 to become more central. That's how the my hotel was born. I enjoy the contact and exchange with travellers and am happy to teach you about the Indian way of life. I also enjoy cooking very much and you're welcome to join me in the kitchen and to learn how to prepare some typical vegetarian Indian dishes. I was a camel farmer for 10 years and have lots of knowledge and stories to share with you about the surrounding desert. I can arrange a desert safari for you run by my uncle which includes a camel ride, a night sleeping under the stars amongst the sand dunes and two freshly cooked meals for a special price. I have lots of stories to share about the Rajasthani and Thar Desert way of life which I will be more than happy to share with you.

Hostel for solo place is located in the centre of the fort with the Maharaja Museum in the adjacent vicinity. The Jain temple and the Laxmi Narayan Temple are also close by. I have a rooftop terrace cafe where I welcome you to try different home cooked vegetarian delicacies in different cuisines. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen yourself and I would love to teach you how to cook a few Rajasthani specialities. The rooftop terrace cafe is a calm and friendly environment to relax in, while watching the bustling city below. You can take a break from touring the city with a cup of freshly made chai tea to enjoy while lying back in our floor cushion seating area. *** If you arrive to Jaisalmer by bus or train, it may happen that somebody approaches you to give you a ride.
