After spending nearly 40 years in the corporate sector, I decided to follow my heart and embark on a new adventure in the world of hospitality. I hope that my journey from the corporate world to homestay hosting is going to be mutually rewarding with my guests. Working in the Corporate sector gave me the opportunity to travel extensively. I have stayed at star hotels, as well as, at nondescript ones in remote places. The star hotels are obviously designed by professionals with perfection to provide comfort to the guests but then they lack the homely warmth. On the other hand, the nondescript ones may provide warmth but then they are not designed by professionals and may lack on comfort levels. I have endeavored to blend best of both the worlds – the warmth of a homestay and the comfort of a star hotel. My personal attention to each and every detail for providing comfort and maintaining hygiene, and of-course the wonderful location, I am sure, would leave each of my guests with a memorable experience of their stay at Nandini. The Cottage is ideally located for guests who want to explore this part of Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region – Ranikhet, Almora, Kausani, Binsar, Jageshwar, Dwarhaat among others - and do not want the disturbance of overcrowded hill stations with narrow lanes and parking issues. The Cottage also offers a break in journey, a mid-way halt, for those travelling to places at higher altitudes, beyond Almora or Ranikhet.
