The home is in the perfect spot to visit the most popular golden circle as it is placed on the circle between Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Geysir and Kerid Crater. The property has a 3 bedrooms that sleep 6 adults and 4 children. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, living room area with fireplace and sleeping loft with fire-escape that can sleep 4 children. From the living room you can enjoy the fireplace and the mountain view. A terrace with mountain view surrounds the house with all year round hot tub. The balcony and hot tub is perfect for viewing the aurora borealis in the winter time. You can find a very good restaurant in only 2 minutes drive and 10 minutes walk at Hotel Grimsborgir. The property features a trampoline and small area to play outdoor games like soccer.

We are a family that live in Kopavogur and started building this vacation home in 2003. We are very proud of the house and the private surrounding area. In the near future we will add larger terrace surrounding the house, outdoor sauna and outdoor kitchen grill area. Our main hobbies are skiing, fly fishing and hiking.

Perfect spot to stay and relax between visits to Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Geysir, Black Beach, Seljalandsfoss, Vestman Islands, Reykjadalur hot thermal river and more. In 10-15 minutes driving distance there are a few very good golf courses, Ondverdarnes Golf Course, Kidaberg Golf Course and Selfoss Golf Course. Hotel Grimsborgir is only about 1km walking distance and features a very nice Restaurant Alternative restaurants like Thrastarlundur restaurant and Komos Kitchen are less than 10km away.
